Favorite Things Friday | Dr. Saundra Dalton-Smith

FavoriteThingsIt’s that time of week … time to get to know one of our speakers and authors, Dr. Saundra Dalton-Smith, and to find out a few of her favorite things.

With a heart of compassion and a love for encouraging, Dr. Saundra Dalton-Smith is inspiring audiences to live free from mental limitations, breakthrough emotional ties, rediscover their potential, and maximize their overall well-being. She has merged her Internal Medicine training with her gift for motivating and inspiring to offer a level of health care that leads to total wholeness of the mind, body and spirit.

  • Favorite movie: The Sound of Music (The original with Julie Andrews. Sorry Carrie Underwood but no one can top Julie as Maria)
  • Favorite book: Hinds’ Feet on High Places by Hannah Hurdard – The only book other than the Bible I recommend to EVERYONE!
  • Favorite secular song: What Doesn’t Kill You Makes You Stronger by Kelly Clarkson
  • Favorite Christian song / worship / hymn: Amazing Grace (My Chains are Gone) by Chris Tomlin
  • Favorite band (Christian and/or secular): Casting Crowns
  • Favorite dessert: Tiramisu! Who can resist java soaked ladyfingers.
  • Favorite meal or type of food: Mexican. I’m a spicy kind of gal.
  • Favorite place to visit in the United States: Any of the Gulf Coast Beaches. Love the white sand and clear water.
  • Favorite place to visit outside of the US: 2013 Jordan and Israel family pilgrimage.
  • Favorite pet: Our 2 dogs – Princess and CoCo (named by my kids of course)
  • Favorite color: Pink
  • Favorite TV show (past or present): Survivor (the early years of the show)
  • Favorite version of the Bible: NLT
  • Favorite sport: Football – enjoy watching a good Saturday game with my 3 guys.
  • Favorite thing to do when not working: Resting! I’m not very good at it, so I have to make an effort to practice once a week.
  • What makes you laugh? Silly jokes my kids come up with.
  • What makes you cry? Others hurting and living with pain (whether it’s physical or emotional pain). Hmm, may be why I became a doctor.
  • Favorite beverage: hot beverage: White Chocolate Mocha and cold beverage: Lemonade (fresh-squeezed over lots of ice)
